Virtual Server Recovery
Navigate to: Main Menu > Virtual servers > Select a server > Click the Recovery tab.
This section provides three emergency repair tools designed to restore access to a virtual server that has become unresponsive, corrupted, or inaccessible.
1. Re-image the Server
Click RE-IMAGE THE SERVER to perform a clean installation of the operating system.
- Function: It wipes the hard drive completely and installs a fresh copy of the selected Operating System (e.g., Debian, Windows Server).
- Critical Warning: This process is destructive. All data, applications, and configurations on the server will be permanently deleted. Ensure you have backups before proceeding.
2. Restore User Account
Click RESTORE USER ACCOUNT if you have lost your login credentials or cannot authenticate.
- Function: Resets the built-in administrator account (
root for Linux, administrator for Windows) back to the original default password provided when the server was created.
- Security Note: If your password was changed without your knowledge, your server may have been compromised. After restoring access, we recommend running antivirus scans and installing security updates.
3. Restore Network Connection
Click RESTORE NETWORK CONNECTION if the server is running (booted up) but you cannot connect to it via the internet.
- Function: Attempts to reset the internal network adapter properties from the virtualization layer. This is useful if you accidentally misconfigured the IP settings or firewall inside the OS and cut off your own access.
