Website Dashboard (Summary)

Navigate to: Main Menu > Websites > Click on a specific Website Name.

The Summary tab is the central control panel for your website application. It displays connection details, server environment information, and essential administrative controls.

1. General Information

The top section provides technical details about your hosting environment:

  • Hosting Environment: Displays the Operating System, IIS version, and supported ASP.NET versions.
  • Server local path: The absolute file path to your website on the server's hard drive. You may need this string for configuration files (like web.config).
  • Storage: The bar graph on the right visualizes your disk usage.

Primary Actions:

  • STOP/START WEBSITE: Toggles the site's online status. Stopping a site makes it inaccessible to visitors immediately.
  • CHANGE SUBSCRIPTION: Moves your website to a different hosting package.
    Note: Switching between similar paid plans is typically instant. However, if you are upgrading from Free to Paid (or vice versa), the site must be relocated to a different server. This triggers DNS replication, resulting in approximately 30 minutes of downtime.
  • ADD STORAGE: Allows you to increase your disk quota.
    Important: Storage is not automatically maxed out. You must manually increase the "Assigned" storage here up to the "Maximum allowed quota" of your plan as your site grows.

2. Connectivity (URLs & FTP)

This section provides the addresses needed to access and update your site.

  • URLs: Lists all active web addresses (domains and subdomains) pointing to your content.
  • FTP: Provides the Host address and Username for uploading files.
    Password: Use the same password you use to log in to this control panel.
  • RESTORE ROOT FOLDER AND SECURITY SETTINGS: A repair tool. Use this if you accidentally delete the main folder or mess up file permissions, preventing the site from loading.

3. IIS Application Pool

The Application Pool is the Windows process that runs your web application.

  • Recycle Pool: Restarts the worker process without stopping the website. This is a safe operation used to clear memory leaks or fix "stuck" applications without server downtime.
  • Edit (Application Pool Properties): Opens a dialog to change the ASP.Net version (e.g., switching from .NET Framework 4.8 to .NET Core) or the Managed Pipeline Mode.
